The torso has been cut away to show stylised representations of the internal organs. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and traditional Japanese medicine (Kanpo) the organs of the body are considered especially important. If your organs are healthy then so are you. This model was carved from a single piece of boxwood and measures less than 100 mm.
