The label on this court plaster cover reads “MAW'S WATERPROOF COURT PLASTER which does not wash off…. S. MAW, SON & THOMPSON LONDON TRADE MARK. 1d”. A court plaster is a piece of silk coated with gelatine to cover cuts and grazes on the skin. The silver case is engraving with the words "We heal all wounds save those of love”. The case is hallmarked “Chester”.
