Bottle of 'Nancy B Watson's Healing Water', Europe, 1996
The label on the side of ‘Nancy B Watson’s Healing Water’ reads: “Sprinkle/spray area. Anoint affected chakras, for use in baths.” The seven chakras, originally part of traditional Indian medicine, are located in a straight line from the head to the base of the spine. It is believed chakras have to be correctly aligned for good health. This bottle of green liquid is an example of one of the large number of unconventional ‘healing’ methods that appeared in the 1990s. The liquid is promised to ‘activate self healing’ and ‘give an emotional lift’.
