The Rorschach test is a psychological projective test to assess personality. A subject describes what they see within the symmetrical inkblots on test cards. These tests are believed to reveal unconscious wishes, complexes and conflicts. However, critics argue the results are just as likely influenced by current mood and recent events. This is one of ten inkblot test cards designed by Hermann Rorschach (1884-1922) in 1921. It was published by Hans Huber of Bern, Switzerland. This example was used at the Institute of Education, Department of Psychology, between 1960 and 1990.
