Each of these wool strands is dyed a separate colour. They are bound in a book to form a definitive guide to colour standards. The British Colour Council made it in 1934. It was used in teaching psychology at Bedford College, University of London. The British Colour Council (1930-50) set standards for colours for academic use. Some psychology tests use colour to determine personality types. Books such as this were more likely used to diagnose colour blindness.
