Carton of four Viagra (Sildenafil citrate) tablets, Sandwich, England, 1996-1998

Viagra is issued under prescription as an anti-impotence drug for erectile dysfunction. It is the brand name for sildenafil citrate and has become one of the best-selling pharmaceutical products in history. This carton contains four blue 50 mg Viagra pills. They were manufactured by pharmaceutical company Pfizer Limited. Viagra was patented in 1996. It originally treated the heart condition angina, but became the first pill to treat impotence. One tablet is taken up to an hour before sex.
