'Is your body coming between you and the opposite sex?', London, England, c. 1975-1980

Sensible eating and a healthy lifestyle are advocated by the Health Education Council in this poster. It hoped to encourage the public to take responsibility for their health. A link was made between good health and sexual attraction. An overweight man walks past a group of people in a swimming pool, with the message: 'Is your body coming between you and the opposite sex?' Being overweight can lead to diseases such as diabetes and heart disease as well as mobility problems.
