Many Christians have long believed that the saints are able to plead with God on their behalf and that particular saints can give protection against specific illnesses. St Livertin is a saint revered by the Catholic Church, especially in Brittany, France. He is thought to help headaches and is often pictured clutching his head as if in great pain. Little is known about St Livertin’s life.
