Make a booking
Please pre-book your educational group visit, even if you don't intend to take part in any of our events or activities.
To book, please follow these steps:
Step 1 - plan what you'd like to do
Browse Things to Do in the Museum and make a note of what you would like to include in your visit. Use the filter to find things suitable for your age group and relevant to your topic or subject area.
Don't try to do too much in a day and allow time for lunch, toilet breaks and a visit to the Shop.
Our hands-on galleries (Launchpad, The Garden and Pattern Pod) are very popular so we allow a maximum of two hands-on galleries per visit. They must be pre-booked and if they are not shown on your visit confirmation letter your group will not be allowed to enter.
Step 2 - check what's on and when
Use the Educators' calendar to check that your chosen activities are scheduled on the day of your visit. Some events are only available on certain days and the calendar does not reflect real-time availability. so please have alternative dates in mind.
Step 3 - make your booking
Call us on 020 7942 4777. We'll help put your itinerary together and confirm your booking there and then.
Our lines are open from 8.45am - 5.00pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and 8.45am - 3.00pm on Fridays. (Times may change during school holiday periods or for staff training.)
Alternatively use the Visit Request Form to tell us when you'd like to visit and what you'd like to include in your itinerary.
Step 4 - check your booking
We will always send an email confirming your booking - please read it carefully and tell us if it's not as you expected.
If you don't receive our email within three working days, please check your Spam folder in the first instance, then contact us on 020 7942 4777 and we will resend the information.
Please remember that our Booking terms apply if your itinerary includes charged activities.
