Booking terms

Admission to the Museum is free but admission charges apply for some activities. 

If you need to reduce numbers or cancel your booking for any charged activities listed on your Booking Confirmation Letter you must tell us at least 14 days before the date of your visit.

We cannot accept cancellations or reductions in numbers within 14 days of your visit date. You will be required to pay the full cost of the places shown on your Booking Confirmation Letter even if fewer people come on the day, or your group does not come to the Museum at all.

You can increase numbers for a charged activity at any time provided places are still available.

If you are collecting monies from students please bear these booking terms in mind and allow enough time to tell us about any changes in numbers.

Some charged activities require a minimum audience size. If we do not receive sufficient bookings for the event to go ahead we will contact you as soon as possible to tell you. We will offer you an alternative date or activity where feasible. If you have already paid and you cannot take up our suggested alternatives we will give a full refund.

How to pay

Your Booking Confirmation Letter will show the amount due for any charged activities that we have booked for you. You can pay in advance or on the day of your visit. We are not able to send invoices.

When you collect your tickets on the day of your visit, you will receive a VAT receipt.

Payment in advance: you can pay by credit card at the time of booking. Please do not send cheques or cash in advance.

Payment on the day: present your Booking Confirmation Letter at any ticket desk to make payment by cash, cheque or credit card. Cheques should be made payable to SCMG Enterprises Limited.
