Science Museum discussion model
The Science Museum uses Maslow's hierarchy of needs as the framework for its discussion events. The model highlights that the learner's needs must be fulfilled in order to achieve a successful discussion. We also see a 'facilitator' as an essential role, as he/she can draw on the knowledge and opinions of the participants, and help promote mutual and inclusive understanding of the issue.
