Booking Terms

When you book a visit from the Science Museum Outreach Team, you will be sent a Booking Confirmation Letter. This letter lists all the activities that you have asked us to provide, details of what we will need, and how much you will be charged for our services. The following Booking Terms apply:

Confirmation

  • A booking cannot be regarded as confirmed until you have received a letter of notification from the Outreach Team by fax, email or post.

Payment for Services

  • After your Outreach visit, an invoice for the total sum will be sent to your school/college/organisation. Payment is then due within 30 days of issue of the invoice by NMSI.
  • All cheques should be made payable to National Museum of Science and Industry.

Cancellation

  • If you need to cancel your booking, we must receive verbal/written cancellation of your booking not less than 14 days before the outreach delivery date.
  • If you notify us of the cancellation of your booking less than 14 days before the delivery date, you will become liable for the payment of the full cost as specified above (unless we can allocate the booking to another client).
  • We reserve the right to cancel an event, on the day of performance, for health and safety reasons or if the behaviour of pupils is deemed inappropriate. In the case of such cancellation you will be liable for the payment of the full cost as specified above
  • This booking is still regarded as provisional until you return the completed confirmation form. Failure to do so will result in the date being offered to another client.
