Advise us

All our resources and activities are tested with teachers and students. Would you like to be involved? We are looking for creative and enthusiastic teachers to join our Learning Advisers Scheme.

As a Learning Adviser you will help develop and test our resources and new ideas. This ensures that they are reliable, practical, support the curriculum, and also that they have the ‘wow’ factor that will appeal to your students.

Ongoing opportunities

We have a range of ongoing opportunities. Some projects will last just a few hours, others will be more long-term. We tell you what's on offer and you decide whether you want to be involved or not. Examples include:

  • Resource testing – we are constantly creating new classroom activities, workshops and shows, and we want them to meet your needs. You'll try things out and let us know what you think about them.
  • Focus groups – we run focus groups to enable us to judge the usefulness of approaches that we are using already or intend to use.
  • Generating ideas – when we are working on specific themes you'll help us generate different ideas for resources, workshops and learning materials.
  • Course testing – to ensure that all the new teachers' courses we develop will meet your needs we want to test different sessions and potentially whole courses with you.

Recent projects include testing ideas to improve the Educators area of our website and working with us in the creation of new resources that will support school visits to our redeveloped Who am I? gallery which will open in June 2010.
