Bugs! is a live-action film about birth, reproduction and death of insects inhabiting the rainforest. Shot on location in Borneo, Bugs! explores the dramatic and savage lives of a praying mantis and a butterfly, known by their Latin names, Hierodula and Papilio. The film follows the life cycles of the carnivorous mantis and the herbivorous butterfly, from their birth and metamorphosis to their inevitable encounter in the rainforests of Southeast Asia, where predator meets its prey.
Although this film has been rated U it does contain close-ups of bugs, including a spider, and follows one character, a butterfly, through its life until it is eventually eaten by a praying mantis. Some children may find this upsetting. Make a free preview visit or contact us if you want to know more – 020 7942 4777
