It also provides opportunities for students to think about and research topical issues, problems or events in the scientific field (Citizenship).

It uses two different types of display, each exploring stories to a different depth:

  • Antenna Rapids present the latest science news stories in bite-size exhibitions with real objects and touchscreen labels. The stories are change every six weeks or so.
  • Antenna Features provide a more in-depth look at public-interest issues in contemporary science and technology. The story changes every six months or so. The current Feature is:

During the holidays Antenna also offers the chance to meet the scientists behind the discoveries and see what they’ve been working on.
