Futurecade

Futurecade is an innovative online suite of games that allows students to explore how science and technology impacts on their everyday lives.

Ice balloon

Futurecade's four games - Bacto-Lab, Robo-Lobster, Cloud Control and Space Junker - are based on scientific research happening today. Use them as a stimulus to engage your students in a fun, interactive way, and get them thinking about how technology might impact on their future.

Futurecade can support your teaching of How Science Works and help your students consider the applications and implications of science.

 Using Futurecade

Use the games  as a starting point or hook. They aren't intended to teach the science, rather to provoke questions around the science so that you can use them in the classroom to generate discussion.

Download the teacher briefing notes  for lesson ideas and top tips for using the games in the classroom.

Download the background science notes to become familar with the science portrayed in the games, and help you develop classroom discussions around the wider issues.
