Transition Science Project

A one-year project to re-engage students with science at the important transition stage between primary and secondary school.

Transition Outreach Project

The Transition Science outreach project ran from September 2009, working with 18 schools across the London boroughs of Lewisham, Hackney and Southwark. The project aimed to re-engage Year 7 pupils with science at the important transition stage between primary and secondary school.

During 2009 and 2010, the Transition Science outreach team:

  • delivered 18 free science shows
  • delivered 36 science communication workshops
  • delivered free community kitchen science events
  • welcomed over 500 year 7 pupils into the Science Museum

In total the project reached nearly 5,500 Year 6 and Year 7 pupils, parents and teachers.

The Tranistion Science project has now ended. If you would like to register your interest for any future projects, please call us on 0207 942 4745.
