Get involved in our Special Projects

We are looking for secondary schools to take part in two special projects for key stage three students.

Building Bridges

This is a brand new and exciting project for year 7 students.  It aims to enhance science literacy by raising the profile of science in school and involving parents in science learning. Year 7 students will explore science through a series of museum visits and workshops.

Building Bridges is open to non fee-paying secondary schools in the London boroughs of Brent, Westminster, Southwark, Wandsworth and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Climate Science

The successful Climate Science Outreach Project aims to engage year 9 students on the subject of climate change through exploring different forms of science communication.  The project includes museum visits, a special performance by the Science Museum’s Punk Science team and a challenge for students to work on in school.

The project is entering its third and final year and places are still available for non fee-paying secondary schools in or around London, Yorkshire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

Both projects are free of charge and run across the whole school year, starting in October 2012.  Places are limited so contact us now to find out more about either project: dani.williams@sciencemuseum.ac.uk, tel. 020 7942 4716.
