Base station Base stations transmit and receive signals from mobile phones within a local area. Base stations are powered by electricity. Without electricity no mobile conversations can happen and no text messages can be sent.
Battery Batteries store energy and can be used to power electrical gadgets from torches to mobile phones. They are packed with chemicals which, at the touch of a button, can react to release stored energy and make electricity.

Biogas Biogas is gas that comes off animal poo or rotting vegetables. Like natural gas it can be burned for heating, cooking or to make electricity. Biogas is a renewable source of energy, but natural gas is not.
