Lava
Lava is the red-hot melted rock that comes out of a volcano. Under the Earth lava is called magma. The Earth's core is full of magma.
Lifetime
The energy used in the lifetime of an object includes all the energy used to grow or make every single piece that it's made of, all the energy that it takes to run it and all of the energy that's used to recycle or dispose of the object. That's a lot of energy!
Light
Light moves energy from one place to another. The Sun has lots of light. Sunlight carries energy to the Earth and warms us up. The energy in sunlight can also be used to make electricity.
Local pollution
Local air pollution is pollution that affects the people nearest to where the pollution is made. Using energy supplies can cause local air pollution. When you travel in a car poisonous gases come out of the exhaust pipe. Some people burn wood in their homes and that makes poisonous smoke.
