Uranium
Uranium is a radioactive metal found in rocks. Uranium is used as fuel in nuclear power stations. Unlike most fuels, uranium doesn't burn. Instead, energy is released when uranium atoms undergo fission. The waste from this fuel is dangerous and hard to get rid of.
