Cutting the blood supply

Tumours develop their own blood supply to supply them with nutrients. Some new therapies aim to starve tumours of their blood supply. This will not only kill the tumours but will prevent cancer cells entering the blood to start new tumours elsewhere - the process known as metastasis.
