Image number: 10210736

A cylindrical form of slide rule made by McFarlane. Cylindrical slide rules, like circular versions of the instrument, were designed to get greater scale length than would be practical with a conventional slide rule. This enabled calculations to be made with greater accuracy than with a standard slide rule.
