Fan with three hand-painted ballooning scenes celebrating three balloon flights. These are (left to right): Jean-Pierre Blanchard (1753-1809), travelling by balloon from Champ de Mars to Paris on 2nd March 1784; the first manned free flight ascent of a hydrogen balloon on 1st December 1783, designed and constructed by Professor Jacques Charles (1746-1823) and the brothers Jean and Noel Robert; and, the brothers Jean and Noel Robert's balloon ascent on 27th August 1783.
