Portable oven for the Veritas paraffin cooker, c 1930.
Image number: 10239812

This portable oven could be placed on top of the hotplate when needed. Its door contained a glass window for ease of use. The availability and low price of paraffin (kerosene) made portable paraffin cookers like this very popular in the United States and in rural areas of Britain. Made by Veritas-Atmos, Inscription: 'VERITAS-ATMOS BRITISH MADE'. Front view.
