Cooker manufactured to a design of Alfred King of Liverpool, who licensed his designs to various manufacturers. This cooker was installed in Lionel Nathan Rothschild's London house at 148 Piccadilly which was built at a cost of over #20,000. The cooker was specially shaped to fit in a corner in the Rothschild kitchen. The cast iron front of this cooker is similar to the fronts of most coal ranges of the period and concealed three circular concentric (aerated) drilled-tube burners and a false oven. Rear view.
