Parnall 'Auto Dry' tumble drier, c 1958.

This domestic electric tumble drier (Model TD57) was made by Parnall-Radiation Limited as a complementary appliance to the Parnall Electric Washing Machine (See Inv No: 1990-0466) The clothes are dried by heated air that is blown through the perforations in the steel drum as it rotates. The dials at the top of the machine are a temperature control and a timer switch. Made by Parnall (Yate) Ltd, 255 North Circular Road, London NW10. Three-quarter view.
