Pyrophone, 1869.

This musical instrument was invented by F Kastner. The notes are produced by the jets of flame burning in a series of glass tubes of different lengths. Kastner wrote about the instrument in a monograph called 'Le Pyrophone' which he published in Paris in 1876.
