Bourdalon, or female urinal, English, c 1805.

Spode china, blue design with birds and plants. Chamber pots were in use before the advent of toilets. The Spode factory was founded by Josiah Spode (1733-1797) in 1767, and has become famous for its blue printed earthenware.
