A syringe, throat brush, bougie and ecraseur. The throat brush, bougie and ecraseur probably all belonged to the eminent surgeon, Sir Morell MacKenzie (1837-1892), who founded England's first throat hospital. The syringe was the property of the German laryngologist, Professor Adelbert von Tobold (1827-1907).
