Rotor blades of this type are are used in jet engines. They can be found in the first stage of the Rolls-Royce Pegasus turbofan engine used in the Harrier Jump Jet. The blades are made of nickel alloy, which is particularly suited to use in aero engines as it does not distort or melt until extremely high temperatures are reached. Made by Rolls Royce plc.
