The 'Space Timer' was one of the first mass-produced radio-controlled clocks. Radio-controlled clocks were marketed from the late 1980s, and gained popularity slowly as prices fell. A radio time signal is broadcast from accurate atomic clocks, setting the radio-controlled clocks to time every few hours. The clock movement was made by Kundo of Germany and the clock was marketed by Kieninger and Obergfell.
