Bullet- and stab-resistant vest, 1996.

This vest needs to be made from more than one material. It contains aramid fibres, such as Kevlar or Twaron, to stop bullets, and steel mesh to stop knives. As well as providing adequate protection it should still be comfortable to wear. The vest was designed to be worn under the clothing of female members of the Metropolitan Police.
