Anemometer, 1875.

Windmill style anemometer used for measuring wind force, with a pair of eight-blade vanes and a direction pointer. This example was devised by G T Kington, made by Foster and used in the Canadian Meteorological Offices. This view along the pointer, from the direction of the wind, also shows the vanes.
