'Daisy' No 2 vacuum cleaner, c 1914.
Image number: 10318928

First patented in 1908, the 'Daisy' requires only one person to operate it. Although called a Sweeper, it is really a vacuum cleaner with the wheels pumping a double-acting bellows inside the casing of the machine. The cloth dust-bag is inside the box, at the back. Its power is very limited and it only just raises crumbs and dust from the floor.
