In the 1950s, paint manufacturers began to tailor their paints to the domestic DIY market. These assorted paint and glue pots include a tin of white Household Brand luxury gloss enamel from c 1955 and a tin of 'Starline' Chinese Black Lacquer. There are several tins from Enamel-It, including claret coloured fine lacquer from c 1955, Household Brand brushing cellulose and a tin of Household Brand gold lacquer from 1955. Finally a tin of 'Casco' casein glue, grade A dry powder to be mixed quickly with water. Manufactured in Great Britain by Leicester, Lovell & Co. Ltd.
