Stock exchange printing telegraph, 1907.

Between 1880 and 1913, as telegraphic transmission of commercial intelligence became commonplace, the value of world trade multiplied 25-fold. This particular system was used to transmit current prices within the London Stock Exchange building and was in use until 1959. The first system of printing telegraphs had been installed in the Exchange in 1872.
