Air-to-air combat
Combat in the air could be both exhilarating and terrifying. Pilots could never escape the fact that their lives were on the line. Churchill summed up their amazing spirit: 'Undaunted by odds, unwearied in their constant challenge and mortal danger, [they] are turning the tide of the World War'.
