Exploring the Universe

Exploring Space is the place to go for rockets, satellites and landers, Cosmos and Culture for astronomy and particle physics, Hubble 3D and Legend of Apollo for immersive space experiences.

And you might want to see the Apollo 10 command module in Making the Modern World. This tiny capsule was home to three astronauts for eight days as they travelled three quarters of a million miles around the Moon and back. The scorch marks from re-entry will send shivers down your spine.

And until 13 March 2016, you can discover the story of Russian space travel in our once-in-a-lifetime exhibition, Cosmonauts: Birth of the Space Age.
