How do we recognise human movement from the smallest signs? Why do we empathise with some animated characters and others make us recoil in horror? Join us for an evening exploring the perception and re-creation of human form and movement, from biological motion to the 'uncanny valley'.

Speakers include:
Matt Pyke, Artist, designer and founder of Universal Everything
Eliza Burton, PHD Researcher in Visual Neuroscience, Institute of Ophthalmology and Child Vision Lab, UCL
Dr Angela Tinwell, Senior Lecturer in Games and Creative Technologies, University of Bolton
Luca Damiani, Artist and Visual Sociologist in the field of animation
Max Solomon, Lead animator, Framestore

This event is part of the Media Space programme in connection with Universal Everything & You, the new digital installation by art and design studio Universal Everything specially commissioned for the Virgin Media Studio.
