Open seven days a week, 10.00-18.00. Entry to the Museum is free.

Between 31 January and 9 February 2015 the Museum is hosting the Works on Paper Art Fair – visitors will only be able to access this gallery upon request and will be escorted.

Explore the history of arable farming and a possible GM future in our Agriculture gallery. Here you can examine our collection of original machinery and superb scale models, from the ploughs and hoes of the Middle Ages to the combine harvesters and balers of the twentieth century.

Find out the difference between dibblers, seed drills, clod-crushers and junglebusters, and follow a diorama sequence telling the story of the working life of an arable farm as the seasons unfold.

And don’t forget to check out the specially commissioned murals and friezes when you visit.

Agriculture is located in Gallery 3 on the first floor.
