In Future

This exhibition is now closed

In Future offers a tantalising glimpse of the future and invites you to say what you think about the technology that may well be common in twenty years' time.

Do you think men should be encouraged to have babies? Would you like to take a holiday in outer space? Should parents be able to tag their children electronically using implanted computer chips?

In Future can’t predict the future, but it does raise issues that we are likely to be facing soon.

The gallery also has three novel, multi-user games, each enabling you and your friends to explore technologies that are already being developed – you can even vote for the ones that you’d like to see become a part of your everyday life.

But only one thing is certain about the world to come – the most surprising developments will be the ones we have yet to imagine.
