This 'test' was developed by the National Institute of Industrial Psychology.
The Visualisation of Cubes Test, devised by the psychologist Colin Elliott in 1983. It was a subtest of the British Ability Scales, used to measure cognitive function in children aged 2-17 years.
These small plastic tiles are a recent version of the sets first produced by psychologist Margaret Lowenfeld in the 1930s.
