The following terms apply for visits booked before 17 May 2022.
Admission to the museum is free but charges apply for some activities.
For home educating bookings and bookings by organisations (other than formal education groups) where you have asked us to include charged activities in your itinerary, we require payment by card at the time of booking. Please call us on 033 0058 0058 to make payment .
If you are a school or other formal education provider, at 28 days ahead of the visit date we will send an invoice to your organisation's email address (or the finance email address if we have it on our system). We must receive payment before the visit date.
You can make changes to your booking or cancel it completely by telling us in writing at least 28 days before the visit date. Changes and cancellations should be emailed to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will confirm the amendments by email.
Within 28 days of the visit date, in cases where the number of people attending is reduced or you cancel your booking completely, you will remain fully liable for all of the charges. We cannot transfer your booking to another visit date or give refunds for payment already made. We will still require payment for unpaid invoices.
If you are requesting a visit within 28 days of the visit date you will not be able to reduce numbers, move the visit date or cancel your booking, and you remain fully liable for all charges.
We cannot give refunds if fewer people come on the day, or you are delayed and miss your event, or your group does not come to the museum at all. If we have not already received your payment, you will remain fully liable for the charges.
You can increase numbers for charged activities at any time, provided places are still available and payment is made by card at the time when you are requesting the additional tickets.. Please call us on 033 0058 0058.
If you are collecting monies from pupils/attendees, please allow plenty of time to tell us about any changes in numbers ahead of the 28-day deadline.
Please ensure your travel arrangements allow you to arrive at the museum in good time for any charged activities.
If you are running late, please call 033 0058 0058 and we will do our best to re-jig your itinerary. This is not always possible and you will remain liable for the cost if you miss a charged activity.
Cancellation by us
Very occasionally we need to cancel charged activities due to unforeseen circumstances. If this happens we will contact you as soon as we can to offer alternatives where possible. If you have already paid and you cannot take up our suggested alternatives, we will give a full refund.
Some charged activities require a minimum audience size. If we do not receive sufficient bookings for the activity to go ahead we will contact you as soon as possible to tell you. We will offer you an alternative date or activity where feasible. If you have already paid and you cannot take up our suggested alternatives we will give a full refund.
Invoices (available for formal education providers only)
The invoice we send to your organisation will show the cost of any charged activities you have asked us to include in your visit itinerary. It will include VAT where it applies.
We must receive payment before the date of the visit. Instructions for how to pay will be given on the invoice.
Once you have received an invoice for your visit, please refer payment queries to our Finance team on 0161 606 0210, or email email@example.com.
