Formal education groups, home educators, and other youth and adults groups, as well as community organisations, and tour operators can check availability, plan, and book visits online using our group booking portal.

What you need to know before you book
- What are the rough dates you would like to visit?
- How many adults and children in your group?
- What are the age ranges of any children in your group?
- Are there any specific access needs?
Planning your day
Activities are shown based on the age range of your group. If you don’t see activities for your desired date:
- the activity may be fully booked.
- the activity may not be taking place on your chosen dates.
- the activity may not be suitable for the age range of your group.
- Wonderlab entry and schools sessions tend to fill up very quickly, if you widen the date range by a month, you may be able to see available dates.
- the portal reflects live availability, meaning that if a session is fully booked, the contact centre do not have access to additional tickets.
- on weekdays in term time Wonderlab is set aside for specific year groups on different days—check the calendar for your age group.
- our picnic areas are not bookable, they operate on a free flow basis.
Payment for charged activities
- If your itinerary includes charged activities, you must make payment ahead of your visit. This can be done by invoice (see below), credit or debit card.
- Formal education organisations can choose to pay by invoice. This incurs a non-refundable £25 processing fee. Please get approval from your organisation if you wish to use this option. Card payments do not incur a fee.
- Formal education organisations have the option to put their booking on hold while deciding how to pay. Otherwise, payment is required immediately to complete your booking.
- Home-educators and all other groups, including tour operators, must pay by card at the time of booking to complete their order.
