Online group booking

In the Group Booking Portal, activities you see are based on the age range you enter for your group and the dates you specify.  

If an activity you were expecting to see is not showing, we recommend making separate bookings for each age group and/or changing the date range if your visit date is flexible. 

We generally categorise suitability of activities using ages 0-3, 3-5, 5-7, 7-11, 11-14, 14-16 and 16+. Not all activities are scheduled to take place every day. 

On weekdays in term time, Wonderlab is set aside for specific age groups on different days – you can check the calendar to see availability for your age group. We are not able to admit groups of older or younger children outside the allocated age range.  

Wonderlab tends to book out 3-4 months in advance. Take a look at morning and afternoon availability. 

We rotate theatre shows weekly. Download the school shows calendar 2024-25 (showing September – February 2025 dates) to see when shows are on for schools and home-educated families. 

The portal reflects live availability. If a session shows as fully booked, then tickets for that show have sold out and our Contact Centre do not hold additional tickets. 

If the date you have selected is available but you’re unable to select a time slot, please check that there are enough tickets showing. You may need to create more subgroups to accommodate everyone.  

We recommend allowing a gap for lunch in your booking itinerary. Our picnic areas are not bookable, so they are not visible in the portal. They operate on a free flow basis for you to use when you are ready.  

Activities shown as ‘self-led’ are not facilitated by our staff and you can spend as much time as you like doing them. You can include them in your itinerary if you prefer, however you are welcome to simply drop in at any time.  

Email our Contact Centre specifying your login ID and the name of your organisation. The Contact Centre team will look into your account to troubleshoot for you. 

Formal education organisations can choose to pay by invoice. This incurs a non-refundable £25 processing fee. Please get approval from your organisation if you wish to use this option. Card payments do not incur a fee. 

Formal education organisations have the option to put their booking on hold while deciding how to pay. Otherwise, payment is required immediately to complete your booking. 

Home-educators and all other groups, including tour operators, must pay by card at the time of booking to complete their order.
