Our Community Partnerships team work to support community groups and individuals feel more welcome, included and represented in our museum and the wider worlds of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
We deliver activities, events and projects with and for people who have historically been excluded from, and continue to experience marginalisation in, STEM fields.
Community Access Scheme
The Science Museum’s Community Access Scheme (CAS) provides pathways for local community organisations and their members to visit the museum and access ticketed exhibitions and events for free.
We work in partnership with organisations supporting individuals and families that experience barriers to access and who may feel excluded from STEM and cultural venues. We get to know them, their interests, goals and needs, and support them to feel welcome and get the most out of their visit to the museum.
CAS removes a financial barrier that many of these groups experience. We can also provide a personal welcome to the museum and support groups to navigate the space.
