Destination Space–schools

Help our team of Science Museum Astronauts get to the International Space station and back again in this action-packed interactive show for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

This 35-minute show explores different aspects of living and working in space. Pupils will need to use their scientific skills to design a space suit with the right materials, test our new space toilet (watch out for the flying poo!) and help us complete a safe landing.

Designed to give pupils aged 4–7 a glimpse into careers in the space industry and get them excited about human spaceflight.

"The show was excellently pitched for the children's level. It created a buzz and excitement but was also able to calm the children at key points of learning too." Teacher.
