Schools: What to see and do on a visit
Browse our galleries, schools' sessions, IMAX films and activity sheets to decide what you’d like your students to do in the museum.
While we’re pleased to announce that the Science Museum will re-open on Wednesday 19 August, unfortunately we are unable to welcome back school groups until further notice.
Given the uncertainty around group gatherings, it is not possible to say when our museums will be able to allow school visits, but we look forward to welcoming you and your students back as soon as we can.
Please sign up to Teacher News emails to be the first to hear when school bookings re-open.
If you would like to contact us about an existing booking please email firstname.lastname@example.org, including your order number, organisation name and visit date.
In the meantime, we welcome you to visit the museum with your household or bubble. Enjoy stories of the extraordinary human achievement and technological advances that have helped humanity overcome challenges throughout history. To ensure you have the space you need to explore the museum safely and enjoyably, all visitors are now required to pre-book free tickets in advance.
We also have a range learning resources for you to use in the classroom, including educational games, videos and activities as well as a fascinating object collection and intriguing stories to share with your students.
Learning is central to the Science Museum’s mission, and its unparalleled collection of objects is just the start.
Here you can plan an educational visit to the Science Museum, search for learning resources to use in the classroom or at home, and look at our CPD opportunities for teachers.
