While the content and style of each session on a Home Ed Day is targeted at particular age groups, older and younger siblings are welcome to attend.

When you book you tell us which sessions you'd like to attend. In addition, you are welcome to request other activities to make the most of your day at the museum. We’ve made some recommendations below, but you can see all the options here.

Prices and booking

Each of the sessions listed above costs £4 per child. We want to accommodate as many children as possible, so we prefer not to exceed a 1:1 ratio for adults to children. However, additional adults can attend for £4 each per session.

If you are booking for a group, we require at least one adult for every eight children.

If you are intending to book older or younger children into the sessions, please bear in mind that the content may not be engaging for them, and restless behaviour can affect the enjoyment of others in the audience. We will be happy to recommend alternative things to do that might be more relevant.

Charges apply for all children attending the sessions (including older and younger siblings), unless they will be sitting on an adult’s lap.

To book, call us on 020 7942 4777. Payment is due by card at the time of booking, so remember to have your credit or debit card to hand. Please read our terms and conditions before you contact us.

We anticipate that places will fill quickly and bookings will close at midday two working days beforehand.

Other things to see and do

To complement the programmed sessions above, here's a selection of other things to see and do. Please tell us when you make your booking if you’d like to include them in your visit itinerary.
