Gene Cernan – school info

Meet our costumed character portraying Gene Cernan and hear about his adventurous journeys into space. Recommended for students aged 5 to 16.

Drama character Gene Cernan in front of a replica of a Moon Lander

NASA astronaut Eugene Cernan—better known as Gene—flew aboard the Apollo missions that amazed the world by taking people to the Moon.

Find out what it's like to eat, drink and live in space, and even to walk on the Moon, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Ideal for supporting classroom work on space, forces and motion and/or famous people for KS2 and upwards.

"He tells a good yarn, responds well to questions and, in the moment, it’s incredibly easy to forget he's an actor. There's something pupils get from the session that really can't be got in school."  (ITT Tutor, Roehampton University)

Our booking terms for educational groups apply to this event. If you're a general visitor, please see the main event page
